Daily warmups

Everyday in Spanish class we do daily warmups where we review things we learned last class. These are very helpful because you are filling out worksheets with the things you are learning over and over with different contexts but same topic and its a very helpful way for me to learn.

Learning Spanish songs

In Spanish 1 we learn Spanish we learn, sing and translate Spanish songs. this not only teaches us new vocabulary but it also introduces us to different cultural music taste!

Once a month (approximately), we wrote for 10 minutes (timed) using the vocabulary we had been learning in class.  Each time, our goal was to grow our word count.  Word count does NOT include proper nouns.

Class reflection

This was our end of year project. we wrote and illustrated an original story using the vocabulary we learned throughout the year. I am very proud of this project. For me to write a full story in Spanish after only taking it for under a year is very exiting for me.

When I first started taking a Spanish class, I never really thought that I would understand it, speak it, or enjoy it. But I have grown so much in this class. I can describe the characteristics of a person, I can put - AR, -ER and -IR verbs into the correct tenses, I can tell you what I like to do and what the date is. This class has made me more open to learning new languages and very excited to be able to communicate with someone in a different language. Being able to understand and communicate in a different language is really mind blowing and something i never thought i'd be able to do.
